Nintendo announces new Pokemon MOBA game for Android, iOS

Unsurprisingly, Pokemon Unite will be a free-to-start game, and it's making its way to iOS, Android, and Switch.

If you don't recognize the name of The Pokemon Company's partner in this particular venture, you should know that Tencent is one of the world's highest valued companies.

Here is the full Pokemon Presents looking at the game.

Each Pokemon will also have an ultimate move called the Unite Move which are powerful abilities that can only be used sparingly and has a long cool down time before it can be used again. Players fight in 5v5 battles on a map separated into lanes. Suffice it to say, the Pocket Monsters have become a cultural staple, and creator Game Freak have been more than willing to keep the content coming.

As you level up, your Pokemon will not only learn new moves that you can tailor to suit your fighting style (for instance, long-range breath attacks or short-range claw attacks on Charizard), but also evolve.

Pokemon Unite will launch on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices and will support cross-platform play functionality.

There is no scheduled release date yet, but get ready to cooperate with other Pokemon lovers to take down the enemy team soon.
